Improvising.

So I've been a busy bee over Christmas time, but now I'm excited to show you one of my favourite creations of the new year so far:
Paint-dipped mittens!

Of course, they haven't actually been dipped in paint! The super fun change in yarn came about because I started knitting in the red, and realised I wasn't going to have enough of it to complete two mittens ... luckily I had the blue yarn waiting patiently in my stash.
I now love these mittens much more then the plain red ones I had envisioned... Improvising. Its a good thing.

Here's to cosy extremities and small joys in the depths of Winter!

Love letters~ Outgoing

Life is super busy these days, but never so much so that I can't write a little update for one of my best girls <3

Golden

The light in the RSN apartments yesterday was so stunning, I just had to share it here.

I can't get enough of this autumn weather! Finally, finally, the humidity has broken and that gorgeous crisp bite has returned to the air. Walking at this time of year is one of my favourite pastimes ... Cold nose, red cheeks, numb fingers and all.

Selfless

I've playing with the idea of self; the physical body and the incorporeal essence.
Traces of presence.

Whirlwind

Its been a few weeks now since I began studying at the Royal School of Needlework and I cannot stop thinking of how lucky, lucky I am to be an RSN student.

The time has flown past so quickly that I have only recently realised that I will be travelling home in just a couple of months for Christmas!

I promised myself I would catalogue my life and experiences here, so I suppose this late little start is just that; a start.
